About EI Sea Turtle Patrol
The main objective of the Emerald Isle Sea Turtle Patrol (EISTP) is to oversee and monitor the safety, process, and progress of sea turtles and their nests during the sea turtle nesting season (1 May – 30 Sep) over a 13-mile beach shoreline. The EISTP is sanctioned by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) and is a non-profit organization with a 5-Member Board Committee for budgetary manners. The EISTP is a volunteer-based organization and does not discriminate against any gender, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, or religion. All volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate as a volunteer.
